I'm also curious to know if there are any differences between UK and US usage of punctuating someone's nickname? The reason is that I read on another online forum that Brits tend to use inverted commas, while Americans tend to use double quotation marks. Although, I haven't found any confirmation on this claim from anywhere else online.
