Which ption is better?

Hello,
I have several language problems:

What is a difference between the two:

I don't like to be told what to do.
or
I don't like being told what to do.

and those two:

I hate to have much money.
or
I hate having much money?

Is 'like" analogous? Having is a strange word, can be used with eating too, hence my questions.

Cheers grammar enthusiasts!

In both pairs of sentences, the two are about the same.

You can use either. I think in the last two sentences, you should use a lot of instead of much.

Thank you Philip and Milandobrota!

I thought it might be somehow analogous with the differences between expressions like I like to play (I have the habit) and I like playing (I enjoy it), but I just couln't get any difference with this set of words. Maybe there is no golden rule then.

Thanks Milandobrota for the "much" part. It is because it was in an affirmative sentence, right?

I don't like to be told what to do.
To my ear this sounds like something you might say before you begin something.
In other words, to some small extent it has a future meaning.
But it can also have the exact same meaning as the following statement.

I don't like being told what to do.
To my ear this so

That makes sense. I have to think about similar examples to make sure I can tell the difference myself. Thank you for your reply CJ!

Cheers!
