Which preposition

I've bumped into a nice word: 'crude'. I was asked to construct a sentence using said word. My proposal:

Trump was accused of uttering crude comments (of | on) African's people.

My doubt is about what preposition is the correct or most suitable one in grammatical terms. I have a gut feeling that the correct preposition is on rather than of, but not sure.

Thank you for any help you can provide,

Sincerely,

Tomás D. Reyes S.

"African's people" should be "African people". "of" is not possible in your sentence. "on" is less wrong I guess, but the most obvious choice is "about".
