Which phrase is correct below?
1. you talk as if you were a child.
2. you talk as if you are a child.
I saw one of the examples above somewhere. I don't remember where. I put the two examples above randomly. Please correct me and let me know which one is correct and valid.

After "as if" you will see just about any tense.
