Which person?

Please could someone tell me which "person" you would be speaking in if refering to yourself, singularly, as we/our/us. Thankyou

I think we need an example sentence, Guest. I cannot imagine one in which we refer to 'we/our/us' in the singular. Are you thinking of the 'royal we' or the 'editorial we', as in 'We are not amused' or 'The candidate's remarks are somewhat puzzling to us'?

  • Here the grammatical person remains first person plural; though the pronoun refers to the Queen or the editor, the grammar does not recognize that semantic fact.
