Which order is correct?

I have been editing somebody's writing but can't decide which version sounds more grammatical. Could anyone give comments please?

1) And there were also groups of indigenous people, upon whom the languages and cultures of the invaders HAVE been inflicted since their recorded history.

or

2) And there were also groups of indigenous people, upon whom HAVE the languages and cultures of the invaders been inflicted since there recorded history.

Thank you!!!

The first is the correct one. There is no reason to invert the subject and verb in the relative clause. "there" in "there recorded history" is also wrong in the second version.
