Which one would you use?

This is a question from a friend. He was doing some English exercise or something like that.

My sister is old enough to be ____ being married.

A. defeated; B. prevented; C. avoided; D. failed.

My guess is B but I'm not sure about that. Which one would you use and why?

Thanks !!!

Thanks. Is any of the options grammatically correct?

Those options hardly make any sense to me either. But I'm just thinking if I choose "prevented", would it mean something close to "my sister is too old to get married"? I really don't know. Probably there's something wrong with the question itself.

Hello, dxljy—and welcome to English Forums.

As Rover has already told you, none of the options makes sense and none of them make a grammatical sentence, so there is no point in thinking about 'prevented'. Even trying to imagine a corrected grammar suggests no answer as possible.
