Which one to use here ‘makes or make?’

This bouquet has a lot of flowers which makes/make it very beautiful.


A lot is singular but flowers are plural

Idk whether I should use makes or make

I read "a lot of flowers" as a unit/set. In other words, I see it as "a bunch of flowers", hence "makes" is my choice.
