Which one of these two sentences sound better?

Hi,

Which one of these two sentences sound better?

"The correlation coefficient between the variables showed that the cortisol level had a significant relationship with the work experience at the end of the work shift."

"The correlation coefficient between the variables showed that there is a significant relationship between cortisol level and the work experience at the end of the work shift."

gillyflower Which one of these two sentences sound s better? " The structure of this one is better, but "the work experience" is not well phrased. Are you referring to working conditions / work satisfaction, that sort of thing?
