Which one of them is right ?! could it be both ??

Hi , how do you do ? hope you are fine , i want you to be a judge on a simple matter , i helped a friend on his homework through a forum and then a new user named " Prince Of Love " and said that i were wrong on this :

My classmates and I are learning about lung cancer .

he said i should have wrote :

My classmates and I am learning about Lung cancer .

Or even :

My classmates and I learning about lung cancer>

Which one of them is right ?

Both of us are not native english speakers , help please .

My classmates and I am learning about Lung cancer .-- Wrong. With subject coordination, a plural verb is used even if each conjoin is singular:

Mary and Jack have new cars.
You and I are friends.
He and she are friends.
