Which one is true?so much works or so many works?to express that we have so many things to do at office?

hello...i m confused about how to express the word " works"?is it countable or uncountable?for exmple..if i want to say i have so many works to do OR i have so much works to do?thank you anyway

HI, In your case, work is uncountable, so no "s". The only case work is plural that I can think of is "Iron Works", which holds a whole different meaning. I have much work to do.

If you want to show plural forms, use assignments, projects, tasks, papers and the such.

You'll find that "works" is not used very often.

I have so much work to do. I've done a lot of work today. Do we have much work to do this week?

Add some additional information:

Works as a plural form can is used with "public works". (as in public projects to repair/renew city building and infrastructures)

or used to mean factories or workshops (what I have above: iron works- iron factory)

When work is used to mean something you have to do for your job, then it is uncountable.
