Which one is the correct answer to this question?

Hi!
I read the following script in a TOEIC book:

Q. Did you go to the circus?

A. That sounds fund.
B. No, I couldn't.
C. I've just bought a ticket.

(Answer: B)

I think C is ALSO possible because it can be understood as the following:

C. (No, I didn't go to the circust yet.) I've just bought a ticket.

Do you agree with me?
Thanks in advance.

I agree with you that it would be understood that way in conversation. The problem with these tests is that, in order to provide you with choices that aren't obviously wrong, they often provide you with answers that are either only subtly off, or that would be correct responses but not the most correct responses, if you know what I mean. In this case, none of the responses except B explicitly answer the question, so it would be the best response.
