Which one is the best answer?

Hi all,

The question below is to find a best answer to the question. I know for sure that (A) can not be an

answer to the question but I think both (B) and (c) can. What do you think? And could you give the reason of your choice?

Q) Why didn't Mr. Robinson attend the monthly staff meeting?

A. Yes, he will go with us.

B. He didn't give a reason.

C. Because the meeting was cancelled.

Thanks always,

I agree - either B or C make sense, but C is not a full sentence.

Thanks for your prompt answer.

(C) not being a full sentence doesn't mean it can't be an answer to the question, right? Emotion: smile

It can provide an logical answer. However, on a test, teachers usually like you to use a full sentence, not a fragment, so if you can only choose one answer, I would suggest you choose the one with the full sentence.
