Hi,

I want to know which one of these is right & Why?

I'm looking forward to hear from you

OR I'm looking forward to hearing from you

The underlying structure is You look forward to something.

That something can be a noun, a pronoun or a gerund, which is like a noun in grammar terms.

eg I'm looking forward to your call.
