Which one is more common

Could I ask three questions?

Which one is more common, "Fish sandwich" or "Fish burger?"

Which one is more common, " Chicken sandwich" or " Chicken burger?"

Besides McDonald's, do people use the term "Fillet-O-fish" in fast-food restaurants?

Or do they use the term " Fish sandwich" or "Fish burger" more often?

Than you in advance.

Thank you both very much.

But, AlpheccaStars, could I ask one more question, please?

Does that mean "chicken sandwich" is the same as "chicken burger?"

Or

"chicken sandwich" is something in a triangle shape, and "chicken burger" is more like something in a round shape?

Sorry for bothering so much.

Thank you so much.

Well, it might have something to do with the shape. Hamburger buns are round, and sandwich bread can be in many different shapes.

The ingredients might also be different. Traditional burgers come with lettuce, tomato, pick

If the piece of meat/fish is whole, it's a sandwhich.

A burger, to me, requires that the meat be ground up (or at least shredded) and shaped into a patty.

If I ordered a chicken burger, I would expect it to be ground chicken meat shaped into a patty. Our grocery store has recently started selling salmon sliders, made from salmon meat shaped into small round shapes we can grill.

Hi GG:

Yes, I have seen chicken sandwiches with sliced chicken or a white-meat fillet, or tenders which are breaded and deep fried.

Turkey burger, veggie burger, etc. all have a ground "meat" patty which is fried.
