Which one is more appropriate?

Hello. I am writing the title of a presentation. I am dealing with different research approaches that may be either merging or just interacting. I do not know which word sounds better: border or boundary. The title is the following:

On the borders of research approaches to X

On the boundaries of research approaches to X

Thank you very much. (If the title is awkward, please, let me know.)
