Which one is more acceptable?

A: Could you do me a favor to pick up Sam from school today?

B: Could you do me a favor and pick up Sam from school today?

Only B is idiomatic, or acceptable, in my opinion.

The only way I'd use "to" is, "It would be a great favor if you were to pick up Sam etc."

i think it is more acceptable and easy to say
B: Could you do me a favor and pick up Sam from School today ?
but grammatically i don't know so we'll wait for the experts
