Which one is correct to be used between "the differences between" and "the difference between"?

heloo friends!

can anybody help me to find out which one is correct to be used? "the differences between" or "the difference between"?

ex:
"the differences between The Earth and Sun"
"the difference between the Earth and Sun"

looks like they both make the same sense, dont they?hmm....
