Which one is correct out of the following?

1. I hand it you

2. I hand you it

3. I hand it to you.


I think only 2 and 3 are.

But someone just wrote me the 1st one.

Or it could've been a typo?

(3) is a set phrase meaning "I congratulate you / give you credit" or something similar. It can also have a literal meaning. (1) is an abbreviation of (3) (in either sense) that some people may use in casual speech. It is not suitable for formal English.
