Clive, I am a teacher of English in Iran. And sometimes teachers are asked to have practice teaching in front of their colleagues. Suppose I have been asked to teach "lesson two" as a practice teaching. then assuming that . which one is correct?

1. Today I am here to have a practice teching from lesson two.
2. Today I am here to have a practice teching of lesson two.

Still none. We don't use the phrase 'a practice teaching'. 'Have' is not a suitable verb here.

You could say
eg Today I am here to do some teaching practice based on lesson two.

I don't see your phrase 'a practice teaching', which is not correct. Did I miss it because I read your link quickly?

teaching practice suggests that you just get up and do it, with no real feedback

Use 'have' because you are the one receiving the lesson, ie receiving the feedback and instruction.

None off those prepoitions are suitable. I'd say 'based on'.

It's awkward to repeat the word 'lesson' in the sentence. It would be better to reword to avoid doing that/

Clive, thank you for clarifying the matter for me. But I am not a native English speaker and it is not easy for me reword the sentence. Can ypu please reword in a way that to be avoided repeating the word lesson.
