Which one is correct? observed in or observed from

Hi Everyone,
I want to say"something are observed in(or from) U.S. data".

which one is correct? and why?

It may depend on context, but you probably want "something is observed in U.S. data".

Not with "data". Nothing I can think of. However, in other contexts it's possible.

The tigers were observed from a safe distance.

observed in + concrete noun ,like countries, locuation, eg U.S., U.K, a company and data, etc.
observed in+ abstract noun ,like a distance, space.

Am I right?
