Which one is correct? Is there a difference?

hi all, I'm a little confused on which one I should use and which one is the correct one?

My mother gave birth to my brother and I

or My mother gave birth to me and my brother

Thanks in advance!

My mother gave birth to my brother and me. (it's better style to name yourself last in such constructions) You wouldn't say, "My mother gave birth to I", right? Or "Give it to I"?

  • My mother gave birth to my brother and me.
  • (it's better style to name yourself last in such constructions) You wouldn't say, "My mother gave birth to I", right?
  • Or "Give it to I"?
  • There's plenty of information as to exactly why to be found on the internet if you search for 'me versus my', for example.
