Which one is correct?

We noticed that one of the brown leather hides supplied has torn at 2m
We noticed that there is a tear at 2m of brown leather hide supplied.

Does "2m" mean "two metres"? Given the expected shape and size of a hide, I can't really grasp why you are saying "at 2m".

Is the tear 5 cm long? If so, what does "at 2 metres length" refer to?

The tear in 5 cm long, and the damage was found at 2 metres (almost centre of the leather) ; the size of the leather hide is W. 1.43 x L.4.7 metres, so shall I write as above

It seems much easier to say that the tear is "near the centre".

4.7 metres seems very long for a hide. What kind of animal is it from?

It is a cow hide. Is the following sentence grammatically correct?

We noticed that there is a tear in 5 cm near the centre of 6.5 square metre of brown leather hide supplied.

Leather is hide that has been processed (scraped, dried, tanned.)
