Which one is correct?

This weapon usually doesn't get a malfunctional problem. If it does, you would have to stop using it right away.

Vs,

This weapon usually doesn't get a malfunctional problem. If it did, you would have to stop using it right away.

Which one is correct or both are correct? Please help.

I am confused here. So, the use of would in both sentences are different right? I mean different intentions? The one is 100% conditional II and the other just means like giving prrsonal opinion, right?
