Which one is correct??

1)Any 2) some

Correct answer is "2) some.
Why does this 1) is incorect??

You need a better grammar book.

Neither of the options makes sense.

This would work:

'Some of the paintings owned by the company were on display on the wall the conference room'.

However I heard before that some of painting has two meanings.
For example,there is 50 paintings.
1) I want to explain each painting.COUNTABLE
2) I want to explain every 50 paitings.UNCOUNTABLE

In case I think sentense which I wrote down is correct??
