Which one is correct?

If any two teams end up on equal points in the round robin stage in the upcoming tournament, then the team that wins / has won / won the head to head match against the other team finishes ahead.

A rise in income increases the price and the quantity traded of a product. This is only because demand for that product has increased/ This is only because demand for that product increases.

Are both correct? So you can carry on in the same tense or you can choose to clearly show that something has occured before something else by using present perfect here?
