Which one is correct?

Which one of the following is correct when one wants to "I have so many books":

I have a lot of books

or

I have lots of books

Hi, Both are fine. My advice is this. Don't get into the habit of just thinking of 'so' as meaning 'a lot' and nothing else..

  • eg I have so many books that it's very hard for me to lift my backpack.
