Which one is correct?

Hi, Upon inspection, table leg's edge was found to be chipped off / edge of the table leg was chipped off I recommend Upon inspection, the edge of one of the table legs was found to be chipped. If you remove the 'found to be' and just say Upon inspection, the edge of one of the table legs was chipped it could be interpreted that the damage happened during the inspection. Clive
