Hi all,

Which one do I prefer for the blank here?

Our boss appreciated our work and told us that ----.

option a - you can be proud of yourselves

option b - we can be proud of ourselves

I think both of them are possible here. Am I wrong?

It's not just a time-zone problem. All of us who respond here are volunteers. We log in when we have time between sleeping, eating, working, etc.  It occasionally happens that none of those volunteers able to respond to a particular question is free for several hours.

I would not use either one, though the second one is OK. I would say:

Our boss appreciated our work and told us that we could be proud of ourselves.
