Is one of these more correct usage than the other?

"We will dilute it as it makes it seem to burn less."

Both are correct, but with different meanings. here's the basic idea of each.


"We will dilute it as it makes it seem to burn less." It doesn't burn less, but the patient thinks it burns less.

We will dilute it as it makes it seem to burn less. This doesn't really make sense unless you don't care if it burns - as long as it doesn't look burnt!
