Which of these sentences should I use in this context?

Hello all

I am teaching English at a Kindergarten. After Term 1 assessment, I found some student did not know the colors and numbers. I am writing some comments to send to their parents so that they know what to help their children.

Should i write "He/ She (the student) needs to review more the colors/ numbers" or "He/ she (the student) needs to be reviewed more with the colors/ numbers?"

I am confused with it.
