Which of these sentences is better...

Can someone please let me know which of the better sentences is better and why?

1. Because of the risk in investing in a unlimited-transaction economy, the spending of one dollar typically requires much more risk appetite in such an economy than in a single- or limited-transaction economy.

2. Because of the risk in investing in a unlimited-transaction economy, the spending of one dollar in such an economy typically requires much more risk appetite than in a single- or limited-transaction economy.

It should be "an unlimited-transaction economy" (even though I have no idea what one of those is!).

I would leave out 'in such an economy' as it is superfluous

But would you also prefer the first one. More importantly, curious to know 'why' one choice over the other.
