Which of these sentences are correct, or are they both? (Future tenses)
I have a question about the future continuous and the future perfect. In this sentence: Probably by the time you read this I will have unpacked, and I ________ the town before it gets too dark. Is it correct to write "will be exploring"? Or is it "will have explored"? Thank you

Yes.
"will have explored" doesn't go with "before it gets too dark". More likely it would go with a by-phrase or with a by-the-time-phrase:
I will have explored the town by 9 o'clock.
I will have explored the town by the time it gets dark.
