Which of the words or expressions enclosed in the parentheses should I use?

Which of the words or expressions enclosed in the parentheses should I use? I guess the correct ones are the first given choices. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I agree with Englishmaven on the choices but there are a few options - those of 3 and 4 - that don't appear to be wrong, just not quite as natural as the alternative.
