Which of the three are correct?

The committee had several suggestions for improving the quality of education: the class day and school year should be made longer for students at all levels; teachers' salaries should be raised 30 per cent over three years; and United States educators should study patterns of education success in other nations.

Hi there, Of the options given, I would say the middle one is most grammatically correct. However, in the UK, we would most likely say "should be increased by thirty percent". Hope that helps, Monty

Of the options given, I would say the middle one is most grammatically correct.

However, in the UK, we would most likely say "should be increased by thirty percent".
