Which of the sentences are correct please?

Could someone be so kind as to tell me which of the sentences are correct?

1 He’s as far from nice as there is/there gets/they get/they come.


2 We were luck to find someone (who is) as nice as Ron. (Did they find Ron or someone as nice as Ron?) 3 For all his faults, your father was a man who loved his people.
Although he had faults, your father was a man who loves his people.
4Even if my phone was fully charged when I started the movie I wouldn’t be able to finish it. It would die before I did.

If I started a movie on my phone fully charged, I wouldn’t be able to finish it. It would die before I did.


5 He’s driving faster to make up for the 40 minute delay. He’s driving fast to make up the 40 minute delay.

He drove faster and made up 40 minutes.


6 It’s not in their interest that I miss my train. It’s not in their interest for me to miss my train.
7 It looks bigger in real/real life than in the picture.

8 She fell asleep just as we got there/we were getting there.

9 When there is a lot of sun...When it is very sunny...

This entire sentence is very idiomatic. I could imagine hearing any of those except there gets.

2 We were lucky to find someone (who is) as nice as Ron. (Did they find Ron or someone as nice as Ron?)

They found Ron, who is very nice. Notice: lucky not luck.
