I think 1 is correct as you are using the first three words as adverb, adjectives and I have never heard of a face boy, which should probably be hyphenated if you do mean to call him a face-boy! Also, I thought pearls had many shapes, so possibly the writer would prefer to call him a pearly-faced boy as this implies both the colour and texture of a pearl, and a roundness to the boy's face.
