Which of the Below Sounds more approriate? Please elucidate.

Why haven't I seen a kid in the audience on the Ellen Show?
OR
I have never seen a kid in the audience on the Ellen Show, why?
Or should i replace "seen" with "spotted" for both the cases?

I have never seen a kid in the audience on the Ellen Show. Why? (Why not? is more natural.)

Both are OK.
You can say 'spotted' if you want to.
