Which is wrong?

Hi everyone,

Can you help me to find out which words below are incorrect and please give the reason why those words are inccorect.

1. (In the spirit) of the (naturalist) writers, that (author's) work portrays man's struggle for (surviving).

2. (Stephen Crane's story) is (a) clinical potrayal (of man as an animal) trapped by (the fear) and hunger.
