Which is the use of 'some' in the question

Hi teachers,
We use some in questions for offers and requests. But in this case, what is it?
Is it a 'request'?

A: Do you want one olive?
B: Do we have some?

Thanks in advance.

A's question (more natural as 'Do you want an olive?) is an offer,
B's question (more natural as 'Do we have any?) is an enquiry.

Hi fivejedjon,
Thanks!
Using 'one' just puts more emphasis on the number, doesn't it?
Is 'some' in the question that wrong?
