00accents are a matter of taste. The best accent is the one you like the most. Learn or try to imitate the accent you like best... well, as long as it's understandable, if you want to use it as your "default accent".02br

00So, since accents are a matter of taste, your taste is probably different from mine. I actually don't like British accents, generally speaking. Some really sound awful. I like American accents, most of them, even though I wouldn't know which sounds best to me.02br

00 The accent you imitate should be the accent that is used where you will be visiting, studying, or doing business most, regardless of its social status. That way you will be accepted more readily by the people you speak with. If that happens to be RP, because you yourself are 'aristocratic and noble' -- the son of a high-ranking diplomat, perhaps? -- then that's what you should strive to imitate. If not, there is no shame in speaking any of the many other beautiful accents of English.02br

According to me BBC English is the most elegant English Accent. General American in also sounds good.
Any accent is elegant when the language is clear, understandable, responsible, respectable, and caring.
