Which is the correct transformed sentence?

As soon as we sign the agreement, we can get our people to work on the details of our merger.

I have transformed the sentence as follows. Which is the correct sentence? "Upon" is the word provided.

1. We can get our people to start to work on the details of our merger upon the signing of the agreement.
2. We can get our people to start to work on the details of our merger upon our signing of the agreement.

I think the second sentence is correct because 'our' substitutes the "we" in original sentence?

Thanks.
