Which is the correct preposition? On vs in

Good Morning guys, recently I submitted a thesis proposal.

But previously on title I wrote "Face Recognition in Finance" but when I sent it to my supervisor he ask me why change the title to "Face Recognition on Finance". Is the use of reposition on my title correct? What is the difference between on and in ?
