Which is the correct one

I want to point out that assumptions sometimes disturb the communication itself.
So, Which is the correct one?
1) Assumptions are a big disturbing factor in communications
2) Assumptions are a big disturbing factor to communications
3) Assumptions are a big disturbing factor of communications

Thanks in advance

I think we can assume that ‘communications’ is the media or topic; so “ in communications” is needed. The disturbance is by itself ‘of the topic’.

  • The disturbance is by itself ‘of the topic’.

If the factors distrurb the communicatiom, they are disturbance factors. Disturbing factors are those that disturb the speaker/writer..
