Which is the correct one?

If you don't take now, you will regret that you have not taken it.

If you don't take now, you will regret that you didn't take it. (I heard a native using this)

Which is acceptable? Thanks.

Hi,

May I know the reason for using 'didn't'?

If you don't take it now, you will regret that you did not take it (in the future).

The second clause refers to the future so why is there simple past in it? Thanks

"Will regret " already is a future context which is understood. This is the most natural version.

This pink apart is redundant in my opinion: that you did not take
