Which is Right and Why? Apostrophe

I thought I had posted this question, but then it didn't appear (sorry if it show up twice later, i am new)

ok.

Which is correct?

...A luncheon honoring the past president's of the association.

...A luncheon honoring the past presidents of the association.

and why?

we are debating this at my job before we print invitations. HELP!

President's would mean either:

'President is' or 'of the presidents'

In your case, I have no doubt: "A luncheon honoring the past presidents of the association."

I did not use apostrophe because I am refering to the presidents that the association has had.
