I have two choice one is reflect and another one is reflecting.

my book answer choice is reflect.
and they provided explanation as

we need a helping word if we use reflecting.

in the second sentence,

The second would not be possible because you would have two main/finite verbs in the clause (without a conjunction connecting them): are, reflect.

The first would not be possible because the clause would have no main/finite verb.
