Which is grammatically correct?

Which is grammatically correct and why?

Yogurt covered raisins


or
Raisin covered yogurt

I was told the former is grammatically incorrect.

I guess so, but it still sounds strange to me.

I understand the idea of something covered in something else (when talking about food, at least) that it is coated.
