Which is correct? Our brain is or our hearts are?

In our church, it is very common that I hear our pastor say "Let us lift up our hearts to God" . When in my biology class, my professor says something like "Our brain is composed of billions of neurons." Which among these is wrong? Or are they both correct?

Both are correct. Our hearts = the hearts of all the people (even those not present) Our brain = the human brain [Our is representing "us as humans"]

Our hearts = the hearts of all the people (even those not present)

Our brain = the human brain [Our is representing "us as humans"]
