My friends I are arguing about these two sentences, could you guys tell me which of these is correct?

1. I will never forget the day which i first met you on.

2. I will never forget the day on which i first met you.

Neither is correct because the pronoun "I" is always capitalized.

That aside, the first is not correct, mostly because it sounds like a grammarian had a stroke. It is also wrong because it does not say what you mean. It says that you will not forget a day. It is not the day you will remember, it is the events of that day.

The second has the same problem of sense. The problem arises because the natural way of putting it is "I will never forget the day I first met you."

But you are probably asking about ending a sentence with a preposition. It is usually OK to do that. In fact, it is usually preferable.

I don't know whether your examples are correct but, those sentences sound a bit difficult. Why not to just say:

-I will never forget the first day we met.

-I will never forget the day we first met.

-I will never forget the first day I met you.
